In the ‘30s the Sunset Strip was the place to escape the watchful eye of Prohibition. As we approached the ‘60s rock ‘n’ roll was kept alive with the help of Hollywood types and gangsters. On a Friday night on the Sunset Strip, one could hear 50 to 75 bands competing to be heard.
